My Therapeutic Approach - It’s About Our Connection

My work centers on guiding people through the most difficult times of life - helping them find solid ground again and begin to find hope.

Many of my clients have experienced divorce, separation, depression, anxiety, suicidality, trauma/childhood trauma, job loss, illness, marriage & relationship problems, loss of meaning, work issues, loneliness, grief, betrayal, and figuring out “what’s next”.

The connection is extremely important

Research shows that the most powerful predictor of change in therapy is the quality of the relationship between client and therapist. Our connection and therapeutic relationship is the most important agent of change. Therefore, I work hard to create this connection with my clients. I do not provide manualized therapy. We will build a real therapeutic relationship that will be the container that allows for progress and long-term healing.

I am a therapist and coach with a genuine approach. I work with individuals, adolescents and families navigating life’s most difficult times. I counsel people going through separation, divorce, and family change. I help those suffering from suicidality, depression and hopelessness. And I work with business professionals wanting to make changes or find new ways of living their life.

Therapy with me is genuine and collaborative—never scripted or impersonal, never formulaic. I show up as a real person, and while the work can be challenging, together we’ll uncover what’s true and find a way forward.

Gratitude

I am grateful and humbled to be of service to my clients and to have this career that I genuinely appreciate. As a mother of three who has faced divorce, navigated challenges of the court system, career shifts, and profound personal challenges, I bring both perspective and compassion to the people I work with.

I enjoy family get-togethers, playing fun and competitive tennis, golf, attending sporting events, backgammon, and reading.
